Timothy hay is a long time favorite forage for horse owners. In comparison to other grasses and legumes, it has the best balance of protein, energy and fiber for both the moderately active and idle, mature horse. Timothy is less fattening than alfalfa, has great digestibility and has good filling capacity, which makes it ideal for weight management in winter. It also naturally contains less dust which significantly reduces the chance of respiratory problems. We guarantee all our bales to meet customer satisfaction.
Alfalfa is often a desired hay for horses due to it's high quality in protein, energy, calcium and vitamin A. It also has good roughage value, and excellent palatability. Alfalfa is especially good for lactating mares, high activity horses (ie: race horses) and young, growing horses. Our bales have good leaf and flower content. We guarantee our bales to meet customer satisfaction. There is a very limited supply so please call today if you're interested.
This product is good for the entire spectrum of forage feeding animals. The mixture of timothy ensures good fibre content, while the alfalfa increases the protein level and maintains palatability. This is an excellent choice for "hard keeping" horses in winter. We guarantee all our bales to meet customer satisfaction.
Our bright, dry, long stemmed straw is produced with conventional combines, equipped with chaffe blowers to minimize dust and maximize absorption. We guarantee all our bales to meet customer satisfaction. Please remember prices quoted on all orders of 496 bale increments include delivery within most areas of central Alberta.
Our Red Angus-Simetal herd consists of approx. 200 cows which calf in mid February. Since 2005 we have been working to select only the best bulls for maternal traits. Steers are 700-750lbs and Heifers are approx. 650-700lbs, consisting of 3/4 Angus and 1/4 Semital cross. Calves are red with white markings, very fancy. Heifers come from very maternal Red Angus bulls. 30-40% of the heifer calves come from the our second calvers retained from our herd. The steer calves are sold off the cows in late Sept/Oct, and we will be selling our first pen of bred heifers in Nov/Dec 2012. The heifers have been pail fed daily ensuring mineral intake and a quiet disposition. All our cattle are on an up-to-date Herd Health Program.
