Alfalfa is often a desired hay for horses due to it's high quality in protein, energy, calcium and vitamin A. It also has good roughage value, and excellent palatability. Alfalfa is especially good for lactating mares, high activity horses (ie: race horses) and young, growing horses. Our bales have good leaf and flower content.
